  • Built detailed financial analyses for CEO and Board of Directors to enable informed decision-making regarding spending on Programs, Fundraising, and Administration. Provided reports and analysis on operational risks, achievements, and opportunities.

  • Worked with CEO and senior leadership team to deploy zero-based budgeting methodology to actualize $350K of budget cuts. Built accompanying financial models in Excel to empower CEO with data to make critical decisions.

  • Energized stagnant database consolidation project from Raiser’s Edge CRM to Salesforce by authoring and managing project plan. Negotiated contract terms with Salesforce, hired database manager, and project managed data migration to adhere to project schedule.

  • Worked with CEO, CMO, and Director of Programs to design internal web application capable of managing flow of data between the organization and 400 community partners. Hired and led web developers and graphic designers to build prototypes capable of feeding data directly into Salesforce database.

  • Ran day-to-day Finance, HR, IT, and Procurement of a patient advocacy nonprofit with $4M in annual revenue.

  • Empowered Founder and CEO leadership by providing detailed financial analyses during period of organizational growth. Proposed and executed accounting remediation project to deliver consistency in QuickBooks coding. Project paved way for detailed financial planning and analyses.

  • Managed accounts payable, receivables, payroll, 1099 vendors, accounting reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and financial statements in QuickBooks online.

  • Led long range capital planning with CEO, senior leadership, and Board of Directors to align organization’s aspirations in the US with the needs at the partner hospital in Ghana.

2013 – 2017

  • Co-led special project with CFO to rebuild budget from the ground up. Collaborated with senior leadership to optimize $15M annual operating budget by iterating on spending models. Analyses resulted in reallocation of $400,000 of operational spending on a revised staffing model and material revisions to marketing strategy.

  • Spearheaded treasury functions to safeguard assets by facilitating ongoing communications with auditors, investment managers, insurance vendors, and other key banking relationships. Created internal accounting procedures to align with 990 tax return requirements and ensured daily compliance.

  • Built financial models as part of an asset allocation project to analyze effectiveness of organizational assets in supporting programs in Italy.

  • Responsible for day-to-day coordination and management of specialty shipping operations. Performed data analyses of production environment that paved way for staff restructuring project by building quantitative models in Excel, and data simulation software.

  • Directed project to restructure production to increase production capacity within facility by 15%. Worked closely with sales team to meet new production capacity, leading to increased revenues without additional spending.

  • Created an ethos of sustainability within production and warehouse facilities leading to a reduction in material waste of 10% and freeing up savings on spending on materials.

2008 – 2011

  • Co-led $20M construction project to complete building requirements on time and budget by establishing a collaborative working environment. Worked closely with experts, subcontractors, and suppliers to complete project 10% ahead of schedule, leading to higher profits. Managed the project budget, forecasted profits throughout construction, and managed operations to produce profits in excess of project plan goals by $1.7M.
